Troop 110,

We will be doing our scouting for food activity this Saturday Nov 6th. We will be dropping off the door hangers on the areas assigned for us (21 & 23) (Map attached). This is an important event in scouting which is done all across BSA.

Information about this service program - For more information check here

The goal of this program is to collect non-perishable food and gently used clothing from each neighborhood in order to donate to local non profit organizations that distribute to the needy.

This program is spread over 2 days over 2 weekends and the activities in those days are

• Day 1 (Nov 6th) - Each unit in our case Troop 110 gets an assigned area where we go and drop off hangers which provides instructions on the donation guidelines and dates when we come for collection

• Day 2 (Nov 13) - We go back to the areas where we dropped off the hangers and collect the donations left outside the houses with our hangers. We collect all the food and clothing items and drop off to the church where the collection happens.

Date & Time:
Day 1, Nov 6th (Saturday) 9:30 AM
Day 2, Nov 13th (Saturday) 9:30 AM

Where:
Glenmoor Elementary School
4620 Mattos Dr
Fremont, CA 94536

We will meet at the Parking Lot of this school. Masks are mandatory and we will provide the gloves for the scouts. The scout leaders will go over the guidelines when we meet at the parking lot. Please be on time and activity might last 2 hours depending on the amount of scouts participation. The more scouts participate, we get it done quicker.

All scouts must be in Class A uniform for both the days. This activity will count towards service hours. If you have any questions, Please reach out to me.
