Troop 110 Outdoor Activities and COVID

Hello Troop 110 Parents,

We are thankful that our Troop 110 family has mostly been safe and healthy during this challenging year. I know all scouts (and adults) are eagerly waiting for the world to go back to normal, and in-person and outdoor activities to resume in full swing.

At Troop 110, we started some outdoor events, using BSA recommendations. This email is to formalize that approach, and to inform all of you about the details.

Our approach is to follow policy and recommendations from the different organizations whose jurisdiction or umbrella we fall under. Specifically, we are following recommendations and regulations from (in no particular sequence):

• BSA
• GGAC (Golden Gate Area Council)
• State of California
• Alameda County

Included here is a list of the specific protocols we are using as of today for in-person activities, and the screening questionnaire that we are using for these activities. As of now, we have kept this list limited to the day time activities we are doing, but will update the list as needed when more activities are added, for e.g. camping etc.

These details may also change as the recommendations and/or regulations from the above organizations change, and we will keep a close eye on that.

Here are links to some useful sites/resources for more information.

• GGAC COVID Information (https://ggacbsa.org/covid/)
• BSA COVID Information (

• Alameda County COVID Information (

Please feel free to reach out to any one of us in the troop leadership if you have any questions. We are keeping our fingers crossed and hope that we all come out of this safe and sound, and get back to our scouting activities with full enthusiasm!

Regards,

Troop 110 Leadership Team
