Memorial Day Grave Decoration

On Saturday, May 29th, 8 scouts and 11 adults, volunteered their time in honoring those who gave their lives to preserve the freedoms we enjoy today by planting US flags at each grave stone at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno. This was a great way to celebrate the Memorial Day Holiday. Prior to planting flags, there was a flag ceremony and speeches given by various guests. Congresswoman Ellen Tauscher was amongst the guests who gave a speech in honor of past and present veterans. The weather was absolutely spectacular but unusually hot which did not deter scouts, non scouts, and veterans from coming out and planting flags. I want to thank all those scouts and adults who came out so early and helped.
