11-7-2021 Hello
Troop 110 (B&G) families, We want
to update you on information regarding YPT that we got from
district. Please see below. You may
retake YPT on your own schedule by accessing the
course at my.scouting.org.
If you prefer a classroom setting, you can attend one of our
Zoom classes in November 2021.
Sat 6th, 9:00 am Check
the website
calendar to
confirm dates & times as well as register to attend a
session. GGAC
adopts stricter rules regarding YPT One
change that affects all registered Adult Leaders in Mission
Peak is the new stricter rule that the GGAC Board of
Directors adopted in April 2021 regarding YPT. At
recharter time, all Adults wishing to be included must have
a YPT certificate that is valid for the entire period of the
new charter. For the
2022 recharter, this translates to adults needing to
have NO expiration dates in 2022 and having
expiration dates on or beyond 1/1/23. Your cooperation in
retaking YPT before your Unit submits their recharter
information in November would be greatly
appreciated.

4-18-2021 / updated 5-27-2021 Hello
all parents of troop 110, We are in
the process of updating our YPT (Youth Protection Training)
for all our troop leaders and parents. It is a very
important training for our troop parents for the safety of
our scouts. It's a very short online training which won't
take much of your time. Many of
you might have already taken the training in the past and
would already have an account. For you it's time to renew
the YPT if not recently taken. Some of you might be new to
it and might have to create an account. To take
Youth Protection training go to My.Scouting.org and
create an account (if you don't already have an account).
You'll receive an email notification with your account
information, including a member ID/reference
number. Once you
login From the My.Scouting.org portal,
click Menu then 'My Dashboard' from the menu list. The
'My Training' page displays to take 'Youth Protection
Training'. Upon completion, you may print a YPT certificate
and/or save an electronic copy on your device.
[YptGuidance.pdf] Please
send the e-copy of the certificate to me, anu@bsatroop110.org
(please cc Scoutmaster Sreev/Archana for boys/girls
respectively, scoutmaster@bsatroop110.org/scoutmaster-girls@bsatroop110.org,
and the Committee chair Ankur, committeechair@bsatroop110.org).
I will keep a record of the YPT status of our troop adults.
Those who have updated their YPT already, please send me
your current YPTs. I will remind parents in a timely manner
if your YPT is close to expiration. One
very important notice from GGAC for registered adults -
"Beginning June 1 2021, all adults with expiring YPT
certificates will have their registration revoked if the
training is not completed by the end of the month in
which the certificate expires." Please
help all our troop parents get YPT trained. Thanks to all
those adults who have already sent their YPTs to
me. Kind
regards, Anu
